How much for these?
[The shops in Fisherman's Horizon aren't all that whelming. At least the air here is clean compared to Gotham. It feels... weird. Nice, but weird. There's a young boy with dark hair and blue eyes browsing a little way's away from Drunkman Alley. He gets himself a pair of sunglasses - or tries to, until the shop owner makes a

What the heck is he going to do with the chicobo and Dusan (his roommate's kitten)?
At first Conner doesn't really notice Robin - there's so many around already in Garden as it is - but a glance over in his direction makes him stop and stare for a moment.
Those shades...]
...Robin?

[He spins in place slowly, trying to catch a glimpse of who said his name. When he finds him, Robin's brows raise behind the newly bought shades. His eyes widen some, too, the a vague hint of them showing through the lenses; they aren't as dark as the pair he used back home (unfortunately).]
Su- Conner! [Right. He heard Supes got a civvy name. He'll just stick to that unless protests are made?]

You picked up on that one fast.

What can I say? I'm a fast learner. [Well, fast enough. And you hear a lot of things in the Batcave.]
But you're... not supposed to be here. [His expression falls here. Supes is - was supposed to be at Happy Harbor.]

When he's running, the world's like a perfect place. Everyone and everything becomes statue like. It's so...peaceful. No one is telling him what to do or where to go or what he's doing wrong. Smiles to himself as he whirs past a group of students and leaves the Garden.
It doesn't take long for him to spot a familiar figure. His eyes widen in excitement and he's ready for the world to move again. Comes to a skidding halt in front of Robin.]
Robin! Hey! You're finally here!

Dude!
[HEY HEY KF HEY]

Dude, you're late to the party. Granted, I thought we'd be out of here by now but nooo, the technology here has to be so bad. Like MS-DOS powered by a lemon bad. But with my scientific prowess and your technical know-how, we can kick start things into motion.
[Underhanded fist pump.]

Is it really that bad? Finding a way to uncompress time sounds way better than having to transfer schools. [And cities. And worlds. Whatever.]

Nice shades.

[He jerks a thumb over his shoulder, three stalls down from where they currently are. Seems like the owner there is still giving him a suspicious look from afar.]

Geez, what's his problem? I paid him in full...

Neville still had no idea how he'd made his way up to his room in the -he pulled out the now well read note he'd recieved on his arrival- Fisherman's Horizon Inn. Here he was, though. Apparently in another world and here to study to become a soldier. Fat chance of that. Neville was done with fighting.
One bed in the room showed clear signs of belonging to someone else so Neville sat gingerly on the other one and tried to think the situation through.]

Oh. Hey. You must be Neville. [Where has he heard that name before? It feels vaguely familiar, just enough so that he can pronounce it properly on the first go.]

[An uncertain smile crosses his face and he extends a hand.]
Reply
Likewise. And just call me Dick.
Reply
Whoops. Sorry about that! [He recognizes the cadet uniform though.] Oh? Are you a student at the Garden?
[There's something familiar about you, but he can't place it yet so he'll keep talking to you casually.] Instructor Grayson by the way. I guess if you aren't into formality then you can just call me Dick. A lot of other people usually do.
Reply
Nice to... meet you, Instructor. [Except... not? As soon as Dick mentions his full name, Robin blinks repeatedly behind his shades, then raises a brow. Well this is an extremely weird coincidence.]
Reply
[He's watching your reaction carefully.] What is your name? I'm assuming that I shouldn't be asking that though Dick.
Reply
Uh, y-yeah. You got it. Grayson, too. [Staring up at Dick, Robin can't help but think of his older cousin, John.]
Never knew anyone back home with the same name as me...
