[The Garden's really a sight for sore eyes. She's been away long enough that it brings her feelings of nostalgia, even if it's not really her home. It'll have to do and it's the best she has. Her first stop for the day is the cafeteria where she eats a terribly filling brunch (and her portions are nothing to sneeze at). She takes her time, watching

Quad in the afternoon

[He had kept to himself these past few days, getting some work done and working on some new files, so he didn't know that Cass had arrived here until he saw her when he was going for a walk around the Quad. He stopped as soon as he saw that familiar hair, waiting a moment till she had taken a sip of her tea; that's when he really knew it was her.

He walked over quietly, though he was sure she noticed anyway.]

Cass?

[bodyreads]

[It had been a year since she had seen him, but Cass would know Tim anywhere. His footsteps were familiar, weighted carefully, and the way he carried himself was familiar. She lifted her head when she saw his hair and she watched him a moment. It only took her that long to realize it was him.

She smiled, straightening.]

Hi, Tim.

[She set her tea down and stood.]

I didn't know you were here.

[theshortestbird]

I didn't know you were here, either. Did you just get here, or have you been here for awhile? [Crosses those last few steps so that he's closer, smiling rather happily for once.]

[bodyreads]

I was here before. I left for a while.

[She moves forward and hugs him. He doesn't look like he's changed since she last saw him.]

You okay?

Breakfast, Cafeteria. :3

[Belle had made her way down to the Cafeteria with a book in hand, attempting to get some reading done before she had to finish up all her lesson plans and the likes later on. With a tray in one hand and a book in another, she adeptly makes her way through the crowds with innate agility. Not once does her glance leave her book.

She was just passing by Cass's table when she stopped, and looked up before turning around with a bright smile.]

Cass?

[bodyreads]

[She's already finished one plate of food. The girl's really a bottomless pit when it comes to eating. She's waiting a bit for her second helping when Belle passes by and she immediately lifts her head. She smiles.]

Belle. How are you?

[beautifulreader]

[Belle is pleased to see Cass again. She takes a seat across from her at the table, with just her one plate and book, that is now closed.]

I'm doing fine! Did you just get back?

[bodyreads]

[She nods, moving her plates aside for a moment.]

Yeah. It was a rough journey. What about you?

Quad; Afternoon

[notasidedick]

No wonder you looked familiar.

[With everything going on, he's been quite busy the past few days. He was heading to the quad for the same reason, to relax. It had been awhile since he had seen Cass, so he almost missed her at first.

But he can't forget Cass.] Did you just arrive?

[bodyreads]

[Someone also familiar. His footsteps are light, like those of an acrobat. He can't change that about himself. And that's why she's smiling when he passes by and stops, because she knows him too. It's been a while and she and Dick were never close, but things change when your surrogate father is dead.]

Just came back, yeah.

[She motions to the seats near her, an invitation.]

[That's going to be a little awkward. Dick already knows that Bruce is alive. Are all his siblings in the past?]

Are you settled back in yet? Have you talked to your brothers yet? [He takes a seat across from her, more then willing to catch up with her.]

[bodyreads]

[It's the cool thing to do these days, didn't you know, Dick?

Cass looks at him curiously, lifting her cup to her lips. It's not an uncomfortable gesture, but she's certainly uncertain. It's an odd situation now, isn't it?]

I saw Tim earlier. [And he certainly helped her to feel at home.] I haven't seen the others.

[Two Damians. They're going to be a handful. But really...they're not the problem.] He told me Jason's here.

Cafeteria

[bat_cookies]

Alfred spots her across the cafeteria and he just has to see if it's really her.

"Excuse me, miss?"

[bodyreads]

[Cassandra looks up and immediately brightens upon seeing him. For Alfred - and for someone like Bruce - it's hard to contain her happiness. He's like a second father to her. She sets her drink down and stands up.]

Alfred.

[She crosses over to him.]

I didn't know you were here.

[bat_cookies]

"I had just arrived a couple of weeks ago. I'm sorry to see this thing has pulled you here as well." He gives her a hug. Lord, how many of them were going to be ripped from their homes now?

[bodyreads]

[She folds into his arms easily, glad to see another piece of her family.]

It's okay. I was...here before.

[Did that make sense?]

I predict Zuko will have many sparring partners for martial arts :')

[pyromatics]

[Planning on grabbing a shower after having just spent most of his late-afternoon in the courtyard doing some training under the sun, Zuko is passing through the quad. He's flushed and sweaty from the work out of his routine.

Zuko looks around at the odd random few who are sitting around and then at Cass, someone he doesn't really recognize. Either she's new or she's an instructor who's just come back to Garden. He's been noticing a pattern over the past year of that.

But he continues on with his towel in hand, exhaling heavily.]

wonderful! and then Cass can give him a beatdown :T

[bodyreads]

[There's a boy who carries himself proudly. She can feel it in his step, in his posture. It's a good sight but also...a distracting one? Is that right? She's not really sure how to describe it. But he looks at her with uncertainty as he walks. He's tired. He's not even breathing very well for himself.]

Maybe you should sit for a minute.

[It's a quiet suggestion.]

[pyromatics]

[He's got his breathing under control no problem, but whatever tension he might be feeling can be easily cured by a shower and some meditation. Which is what he plans to do... uh, after he talks to this stranger who's addressing him.]

...uh. Sit?

[Zuko stops to look over at her, absently wiping at his brow and pushing his hair out of his eyes.]
