[CLOSED] MOAR CAKE! MORE FLAMES!

Jul 26, 2011 21:49

[Somewhere in the Garden, these two instructors are arguing.]

If you serve the appetizer before the bread, the whole meal will suffer!

...but the cake IS the meal!

If you serve only sweets, sugar will lose all taste!

Then put in MORE SUGAR!

Would you serve only chocolate cake when you could make vanilla? Would you serve only layer cake when ( Read more... )

[Home ec is rapidly going to become a class of horror and myth, isn'tit.]

Then if we agree, you understand why chocobo chicks must be brought here, rather than the students going to a farm!

If you're proposing a trip for the students as well, perhaps it could be during the break? We would not want to take them from their other classes after all.

Why wouldn't they go? That's my point all along!

[She hums at the idea of the trip during break.] I guuueeeeeeessssss. [Tilts her head to the side at the oddest angle ever.] Kinda strange for you to say that! Don't you WANT them to be IMMERSED IN THE JUICES OF THE CHOCOBO'S NATURAL HABITAT?! THEN SAUTEED TO PERFECTION?!

[Yes, she is mimicking him. How's she doing?]

[Gets a grin out of him!]

Ahyahya! Chocobos are birds, therefore, I would prefer to see the students breaded with knowledge, then lightly skillet-fried and spiced with the Corporal's secret recipe of thirteen herbs and spices of experience!

MAYBE they should be DOUBLE BREADED with...with...HARD WORK!

[She isn't the best at these!]

If learning is the goal, hard work will be a complimentary side dish!

[For someone who has not spent centuries training in the Kitchen Fist, she is quite acceptable.]

OOOOOOOOOOOoooooh.

[And her stomach rumbles.]

All this talk about schoolwork is making me HUNGRY! I say, we should start on schoolwork IMMEDIATELY!! There's lots and lots and LOTS of research to do! [Fistpumps because THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS! Someone has to research that Baked Alaska. And by research, she means taste test!]

Schoolwork, or eating food? There IS a slight difference. [He winks broadly at her, teasing again.]

[Blinks] Is there something in your eye?

...there is?! I usually do BOTH at the same time!

[Eating schoolwork isn't easy!]

There is a subtle art to the sampling! After all, if you've got to give it a grade, your perception of the food will be slightly different!

[Does he know?

Does he?!

DOES HE KNOW THAT SHE WILL PROBABLY PASS ALL HER STUDENTS NO MATTER WHAT?!

Unless they are REEEEEAAAAALLY bad!]

RIGHT! GRADES! I guess that's important. Even though these are only electives! WOW, so strict!

[He has a sneaking suspicion. Between the two of them, dropping out is a much greater threat than not passing!]

A true chef needs passion! Harmony! The spice of knowledge! The seasoning of experience! I must represent the ingredients that cannot talk for themselves, boom!

ESPECIALLYYYYYYY HARMONY! Because what goes better with singing than cooking?!

food_is_energy July 31 2011, 16:41:39 UTC
Generally when one refers to harmony in cooking, it means harmony between tastes. But if you enjoy cooking enough to sing while doing it, clearly your heart is in the right place.

Harmony can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, Chammy! Besides, harmony between tastes is what I do BEST! [Hot sauce on cupcakes, for example.]

That's right! It's riiiiight here. [Taps where her heart is.] Where it should be! And I'LL make sure THEIR hearts are in the right place, too!

Of course you will! If your dedication were any less, I would never have allowed you to teach here!
