At this time in my home, many would be celebrating a star festival... Tanabata.

One would write their wish on a small piece of paper and hang it on bamboo. The specifics aside from that vary, but I suppose I am wondering... What sort of wish would everyone make?

A festival? What's it like?

[...Oh wait, he asked a question whoops-]

And ah... I'd wish for-! ...I'd wish for something.

It can get very large, with various decorations.

...Something? Are you not sure?

[Lmfao what kind of description is that is he going to go creeper on her...]

And everyone writes their wishes on a piece of paper?

[...] You could say that.

that is all]

Hmm. Yes. Once it is written, it is generally hung from bamboo... Though I have yet to determine if there is any here. If not, a simple tree may work.

If you think of a wish, perhaps you could write it on your own and hang it. Afterwards, I am meeting with a few others to send them off. You are welcome to join.

I'd wish my brother was here. [A rare moment of honesty from the drama queen... Sharpay decides to leave it at that.]

We're twins: We grew up together, did a lot of stuff together... His going away to college was going to be the first time we were too far apart from each other but me ending up here brought that on early. [And she's been apart from him for two years. Somewhere, Sharpay sighs at her computer terminal.]

My apologies...

If it would be of any comfort, I could write this wish on paper and do my best with the practice in this sort of setting. I do not know of any river, but if I burn them after the night, it is said that they could come true.

[Though this is a different universe so he's not sure...]

I'm sworn to protect someone from some evil people back home. [Evil alien witches, to be exact, but Mikuru is pretty sure that would raise more questions than she'd like to answer.] I'd wish for the evil people to go away. [BACK TO YOUR OWN PLANET, YUKI NAGATO.]

[On second thoughts, her country ought to know about an invading force. Mikuru forgets the rest of the BBS can read this too.]

Evil alien witches trying to invade the planet!

We have something like that back home, too. Yet, it only happens every 1000 years. I've yet to experience it, I'm afraid..

I suppose I'd wish for life to be more exciting. That's a bit vague, though.

What a rare sort of festival, with that sort of gap in time.

And such a daring wish. Is transporting to this world not enough? Or perhaps you are from here to begin with. In that case... Issues with time compression in general do not seem very boring.

It has to do with a comet that only enters the atmosphere every millennium.

It was exciting to begin with, but.. Now, after getting settled in, it's rather boring. Training can get monotonous. I suppose I'm a bit antsy to graduate.

A comet... How fascinating.

Yes, patience is difficult to maintain in such situations, especially.

One of my wishes came true! Or at least the spirit of it did!

It didn't take as long as I thought! It should have taken 16 or 25 years to reach Vega or Altair, but it only took 2 and 1/2! I should have known that Orihime and Hikoboshi would figure something out - they are Gods! They must have super-vision that can see through time!

So, if this wish took 2 + 1/2 years to come true, then by the time I'm 18 the Earth will start spinning the other way!

... I'm afraid I don't understand. Was it your wish for Earth to spin in the opposite direction?

That was my wish last July! It was December when I came here. My wish this time is for this world's magic to appear in my homeworld! But if we're in another universe, Orihime and Hikoboshi might not exist, and God or not I don't think they live in multiple realities.

But there might still be something else that grants wishes!

Never before have I met anyone with such daring dreams. Could this sort of magic be dangerous on your world?
