[After becoming a SeeD, normal people would probably celebrate until their little heads exploded, but Fang had always had a few screws loose. Her celebration consisted of hanging out in the quad. Strangely enough, she actually felt more relaxed here than anywhere else in Garden, except perhaps the Training Center - but there'd been too many people

[From the Lobby entrance, Snow vaults down the stairs in one bound and hits the ground at a charge towards the long-lost l'cie.]

Fang!

[Lucky for her, Snow is impossible to miss, so she can take measures not to get run over. Her greeting's a smirk and a bark of laughter.]

Don't look so shocked, hero.

[Maybe not run over, but he's stomping right up -- to grab her. And hug her.]

[Not usual behavior even for 'everyone's friend' Snow, but circumstances being what they were -- and after a year and a half of separation -- well, hopefully he can be forgiven the gesture.]

[Grins] So you've noticed.

[Of course she can forgive it; Fang's not heartless. After a moment, however, she whacks him on the back repeatedly, sounding increasingly breathless.]

Uh, Snow? Feel like lettin' me breathe?

[brightsiding]

[ Predictably, the quad was one of Vanille's favorite places to be in the entirety of Garden. While the training center did provide a nice atmosphere, the monsters everywhere made it a little hard to relax- and, of course, there was the fact that it wasn't as open-air as the quad, and was never quite as bustling, quite as friendly. It was a good place to study, too... Whenever she tried to do that. It wasn't very often, that she did, considering how tired even trying to focus on schoolwork outside of class and her homework made her. ]

[ That was what she was trying to do today, at least, having tucked a couple books from the library under her arm. Cheerfully, she hopped down the staircase into the quad, keeping her eyes on her feet rather than around her. It was only when she reached the bottom step that she looked up and saw something that startled her enough to drop everything she'd been carrying, papers stuffed in the books scattering along the ground. ]

Fang..?!

[The books hitting the ground hadn't startled her, but hearing her name in that familiar voice certainly did. Visible relief crossed Fang's face - old habits died hard, apparently - and she immediately got up - ]

Vanille!

[ - to pull Vanille into a hug.]

Fang..!

[ If Fang hadn't done it, she would have, wrapping her arms around the other girl tightly and burying her face against her chest. There's a long, quiet moment where she's content to stay just like that, mind racing. Once that moment has passed, she pulls back and looks up at her, uncertainty in her eyes. ]

You're really here? It's really you..?

[Fang smiles gently, the sort that's reserved exclusively for Vanille, and squeezes her shoulder in reassurance. Anything to get rid of that uncertainty since they were both standing here, weren't they?]

I'm here. Made you worry, didn't I?

[Instead of verbally apologizing, she pulls Vanille into another tight hug, not willing to let go just yet.]

[Cid's first thought after spotting Fang is one of surprise--less so about seeing Fang here and more about seeing her so soon after just meeting up with Lightning. Time compression certainly works in strange ways...

He takes his time to approach her and ends up stopping several feet away. Once again, he has to deal with the mystery of how the l'Cie will react to his presence. He has more of a history with Fang than the others, but Cid's not entirely sure that will play in his favor.]

Fang. To think that you would be here as well...

[Honestly, if he'd caught her in a bad mood, she might not have been up to reacting favorably. But luckily for Cid, Fang's feeling darn peachy. Well, as peachy as she gets, anyway. She sends a little smirk of a smile his way when she hears him speak.]

Hey, there ain't no gettin' rid of me that easily.

[focusedfate]

[He smiles ruefully and shakes his head.]

I think you misunderstand. I was merely surprised, as I just met Sergeant Farron here the other day. I had not expected to see another from our world so soon.

However--[There's a pause, and his gaze slips away momentarily.]--I believe I can understand your reaction, and for that, I apologize.

[Waves a hand] Nothing to apologize for. And there's no bullheaded fal'cie here calling the shots, so quit bein' such a stick in the mud.

[Though she thinks it must be easier said than done in his case. Snerk.]

Though I've gotta say, I'm surprised you're here. You never seemed like the sort to stick around in a school.

[pyromatics]

[Since Zuko had decided to return to the strawberry patch to pick out some more for Katara, he was making his way back when his hearing picks up on the chuckling. He pauses and looks over at the woman sitting by herself, a basket of strawberries in hand and dressed in his cadet uniform.]

[Well. That's new! Hope thought to himself as he dashed over to her.]

When... When did you get here?

When you weren't looking.

[She smirks, but it's a playful one. Honestly, she's glad to see the kid; this place had probably done wonders for him.]

[Okay. That made him chuckle.]

I guess you're not hard to miss. How are you?

As well as anyone would be here, I suppose. 'Specially since you're looking at their newest SeeD. [Quirks a half-smile.]
