[He can't help but but into other people's business, especially with so many interesting people out and about. Normally it was just trolls and the occasionally online human. But here? There was a fucking plethora of people to fuck with . Awesome.]

[Not that Zak turned to face his new companion, though enjoy the startled look when he *does*, Tavros. But it's quickly stifled under the general disillusionment he affects.]

Galbadia. I didn't think they'd let me transfer here. [It's a somewhat self-deprecating smile Zak has on his face. Then he shrugs.]

Well, at least I'm here now, I guess. [good at personal interaction? wut?]

Yeah, I just got here. Came from Galbadia Garden. [Which is probably as unsettling to someone else as it is to him, but Zak is paying no attention to this right now. He shakes his head.]

I transferred, I mean.

Huh. Well, it's good to have you here anyways. [beams, gesturing towards the rest of the campus] Want me to show you around? I know how it can be on the first day.

I did come from a Garden...[But he lets that trail off, because really, what could it hurt? Zak shrugs, finally.]

[There's what looks like a big wolfy dog padding towards Zak and the Garden entrance. It starts striding alongside him, grinning.]

Interesting welcoming committee... [Zak knew that Galbadia didn't allow pets, but maybe Balamb's different. So he doesn't protest being followed. Though hopefully nobody thinks this is his dog...]

[Volug pads alongside Zak for a moment, then turns back into his human form. Hi Zak, you're suddenly next to a 6'1" muscly guy with a big, bushy tail and no shirt.]

Where do you come from, beorc? Are you an inhabitant of this world?

[At the unexpected shapeshift, Zak lets out a startled yell and nearly falls over, just catching himself. He does back up a little, and he dropped his duffel again.]

Yes! Yes, I am! Hyne! I transferred in from Galbadia Garden, okay?

[Zak takes a moment to catch his breath.] What's a beorc? And what ARE you?

[So much for listening to the Headmaster's request in the welcome letter, right?]

[Nepeta usually hangs in the lobby whenever she is outside of her room or the training center, but today she finds herself at the entrance. She still isn't use to the sun so she has a pretty strange looking makeshift hat made out of twigs and leaves on her head to block it out.]

[She noticed Zak standing at the entrance, and at first she didn't make too much of it. It was only when he remained there that she wondered if maybe he was new or lost. She debated for a moment, before tentatively going up to him]

Hello, um, are you new? Do you need help with anything?

[If he hadn't seen Tavros, he probably would have been a bit more disturbed by Nepeta's appearance. But he had, and so he actually offers a tentative sort of smile. Be nice to the outsiders, right.]

I am new, but I'm sort of all taking it in. Still, I'm glad to be here, you know?

You been here long? [The hat is...really weird, but Zak decides it's probably best not to comment.]

[And boy is Zak happy to shake the dust of that place off his feet.]
