[Here's Ron with a sandwich in his mouth (when isn't he without one?), his brows set in a deep scowl as he reads over his new schedule for the upcoming term. He's seated on a bench near the cafeteria, his rucksack on the ground next to his legs

[And here's Volug in halfshifted form, padding right up to Ron and looking everything like a big, wolfy dog. He peers briefly at Ron's schedule, but he's more interested in the smells coming off that sandwich. He's totally eyeing that sandwich.]

[Ron, not expecting there to be any Animagus around in Garden, jumps on the bench, straightening up in surprise.]

Er -

[Muffled sound around his sandwich, he pulls it out of his mouth and chews:] You lost?

[Volug barks once, then sits on the ground, whining slightly. Also, he's eyeballing the new and improved location of Ron's sandwich.]

[Squints at the dog and tries to figure out its responses.]

This would be a whole lot easier if you were an Animagus like Sirius...

[Takes another bite of his sandwich.]

[Hope was relishing his ability to eat as much as he liked. That virus had made him lose a bit of weight, so they were trying to keep him on a high calorie diet just for a couple of weeks. He noticed the ginger wizard on his way in.]

[Hope stopped to say hi. He couldn't remember the guys name, but he'd been nice and welcoming the first time.]

Been better, mate. You? How you been holdin' out? Been a while since I last seen you.

I... kinda got sick. Really sick. But I'm better now. Able to leave the infirmary and everything.

[Hope gives a smile.]

It feels good to not have to sit there for hours on end.

Good on you, then! [Ron returns the smile with a crooked grin.]

I remember the days of being stuck in Madame Pomfrey's ward in Hogwarts myself. Bloody right bored for hours.

[Normally, Apollo'd pass over Ron - worried Cadets just weren't his style - but the minute he realizes that's a new schedule? Eh, why not. He's got nothing better to do.]

Nah, doubt it'd be that. [Ron holds out the schedule for Apollo to look over.]

[Botan is heading towards the Cafeteria after forgetting about breakfast...and dinner last night. It's not just the students that dread the first day of classes. Instructors have to get their stuff in gear with lesson plans and these Time Compressions have not been helping. S-so hungry... but there's a cadet. Upset.
