Colette o2: Dinosaur!

[It's really late at night, and Colette's in the training centre. She's not really there to train, so it's breaking the rules a little bit, buuut... what is an insomniac to do with her nights?

Well, aside from avoiding becoming a T-Rexaur's midnight snack. Colette stares up at the dinosaur hanging over her, blue eyes wide. Wow. So big! And now it'

[ Luka's not really one for fighting, but the training centre does hold a certain interest to her. It's the monsters, really; the closest she's ever seen to something like that is a mechanical pink octopus, and really, that just doesn't compare to an actual dinosaur. She intends to keep quiet, to just move around the perimeter and stick to herself, but when she sees a young girl try to fend off the creature with some sort of - magic, she assumes, she finds herself stepping forwards to offer assistance ]

Perhaps I could - [ she pauses, really not knowing what she's doing. Still, it's as good a time as any to learn the ropes ] Ah, help you in some way?

[Colette looks down at Luka with a grateful smile, but upon noticing that she doesn't appear to have any weapons or anything that smile turns into a worried frown. This seems so much tougher than the horrible grat-things! Wouldn't it be too dangerous?

She shakes her head. No, please don't! What if you get hurt?]

Are you certain? [ she glances up at the dinosaur, brow furrowed. Being more or less immortal, Luka isn't scared, per se, but that doesn't mean she isn't concerned about the girl. Kneeling down, she feels around the ground, quickly finding a thick branch, that must've fallen from one of the trees ] I'm quite strong, and my reflexes are excellent.

[Colette shakes her head again, floating lower. If this girl got hurt because of her, she couldn't forgive herself!

As the T-Rexaur moves towards Luka, Colette throws one of her chakrams. Ray Thrust, hitting T-Rexaur in the side of the head and attracting its attention.

Hey you! Yeah, you! Giant red thing! Look at me! Not her, me!]

[Admittedly, he sees the dinosaur before the girl. It isn't often that you tend to look for people in the sky, after all (although hanging around with Fang should've taught him better than that). So really, Colette, excuse him for at first, wanting to just turn tail and run in the opposite direction (not that he wouldn't have fared better than last time, neither exhausted nor taken by surprise, but all he has to do is remember the Commander's angry glare, and that's enough to make anyone about-face).

When hears a faint chiming sound, though, curiosity gets the better of him, and he turns around to see...pink feathers?! Following the line of magic up, Hope's eyes widen. Fighting that thing alone? A Blizzaga spell suddenly erupts underneath the reptile, freezing it for just a second, and Hope cups a hand over his mouth, shouts up.]

Are you...okay by yourself?

[She looked older, so maybe she really had things under control - if that was the case, he'd extract himself as neatly as he came, but if not...better to be safe than sorry

[Oh, he'd frozen it! It looked as though it was going to break free, though... she is grateful for the brief moment to collect herself, and wishes she could shout back. Since she can't, she flies down to where Hope is and smiles.

Yes, I'm all right!

She really hopes he understands that smile, though. Communication is just so tricky right now!

As the T-Rexaur breaks free, however, she makes a frantic gesture in the hopes of getting him to run (even though the magic would be really helpful). Worried that the dinosaur might attack this kid, Colette goes back to fighting it, this time going throwing chakrams at it. Twice.

Dual Ray Thrust.

Right in the eyes! Yes!

Is the boy still here? While the T-Rexaur recoils from the damage, Colette quickly turns to look.]

[Yes he is, and personally, he's a little more worried that the dinosaur will maul Colette rather than attracting its attention himself. She wasn't the easiest to understand, and she hadn't explicitly told him not to help or to run, so Hope took that as a go-ahead to help.

He follows up Colette's attack with a couple of spells himself, ranging from that previous ice attack to a blaze of fire, though because it was magic, the explosion was localized, and quickly died out rather than cause collateral damage.

Hope looks back up at her.]

Let me help!

[Colette takes a moment to glance at Hope, a little worried. But, she reminds herself, he has magic! Just like Genis does! If he stays behind her, she can distract it while he uses spells.

So, she nods, though she holds up a hand to try telling him to stay back. Then, she flies upwards, trying to get behind the now half-blind dinosaur's head, spinning in midair to slash at it with her weapons.]

[Momentarily distracted, Colette glances down at Kadaj. "You won't defeat it like that"? Normally, people would take this as criticism, but Colette... nah, she assumes it's possibly an offer of help.

She raises her hands, trying to say 'I'm fine, I'm fine!' and at that point, the dinosaur's tail comes swinging up and collides with her, sending her even further upwards.

How annoying!

Yeah, she's gonna fling a chakram at it - said chakram, upon hitting it, promptly falls to the ground.]

[He's a little scary-looking, but Colette isn't really one for judging so quickly. As such, seeing that Kadaj has a weapon, she nods. Okay!

However, she has to retrieve her chakram first. Letting herself drop to the floor, she rushes to grab it even though the dinosaur towers over her. If she's fast, it won't get her, right?]

[Mjrn's at the training center for its intended purpose. Her reason for being there is the same -insomnia- so she decides to at least be semi-productive while hoping the urge to rest would kick in, sooner or later. Her plan is to make one round and see if that helps. Spear in hand, she begins her course.

Of course, it's not long before she spots the T-Rexsaur ahead. That's...more of a challenge than she is looking for, really. She intends to depart before it turns its attention to her, but then something just in the corner of her vision catches her attention and she turns to look.

Her eyes widen. What manner of...no, focus. She activates Libra and then sends a Blizzard spell in its direction, hoping to catch it off-guard enough to give the winged one a chance. Quickly, she glances up.]

Do you need assistance?

[Mjrn ought to have asked before, but...at least she's asking now. She doesn't want to take away a training opportunity from someone else, if they can handle it. And perhaps someone with such wings can easily evade the large

[It's just so big, so someone who looked ready to fight would be so much help! Colette, however, is unable to speak, so when the T-Rexaur is hit with blizzard she takes the opportunity to get closer to this strange woman with those incredible ears.

She nods, then puts her hand to her mouth to indicate that she can't speak. In that moment, however, the T-Rexaur has recovered, and is charging towards them.

Oh! Hearing the stomping behind her, Colette moves instinctively, forgetting about Mjrn for a split second. Oh no! In a sort of panic, she hurls one of the chakrams at its head, somewhat blindly and really hoping it would hit.]

[Mjrn nods at the gesture to indicate that she understands, though any further chance at communication will have to wait. She watches the odd weapon get thrown, but snaps out of it a moment later and turns to darts away until she's at a distance where she will have time enough to cast some spells.

The beast's roar makes her wince, but she's able to remain standing and turns to face it again. The best thing to do in her mind, aside from running away, is to end the fight as quickly as possible. She focuses and casts Sleep, praying that the spell takes effect.]

[Colette seems a little surprised as the dinosaur apparently just dozes off in the middle of a fight, not realising that it was a spell. She glances back at Mjrn in confusion, and, letting her guard down, dropping to the ground.

She steps close to the dinosaur, cautiously watching it, then looks to Mjrn again and, with no idea how to otherwise communicate her confusion, she shrugs.

Maybe they should just let it sleep? It looked almost cute like that, too. Colette would feel bad about waking it up.]
