[Was trying to read a book - one of those kid novels like Ramona Quimbly - when he notices Eiko. Damian raises an eyebrow:] What're you doing?

I'm looking around. [Isn't it obvious? Eiko shakes her head.]

Oh. You're new here. [takes a second look] Let me guess... off-worlder?

Yup! I'm from Gaia! There's a lot of people from other worlds, right?

[Eiko ceases her exploring and looks at the unfamiliar girl for a moment. Huh. Why would she think that? She shakes her head in reply.]

No. I'm just looking around.

[Eiko places her hands on her hips, posturing proudly.]

Yup! They even gave me a ring, with a topaz on it!

[Then again why not. They accepted older than usual people too.]

Because you have to be fifteen before you can graduate, eh. Plus some of the classes are hard.

Although if you're willing to go with it, sounds like a great plan to me.

Most of my classes are different anyway, but I'm taking some of the advanced ones! Like literature, and magic, and "GFs" - GF is a stupid name for an eidolon!

[Since the incident with the monsters and the miraculous crash landing, Squall's taken to walking the 1F more often and helping with the Garden Faculty and cleaning up. Eiko's blue hair and the small horn at her forehead are a touch hard to miss and he recognizes her from her folder.

They've had junior cadets before but none as young as her ... that he can remember.

Squall heads on over in her direction to check on her.]

[If you're not going to talk, Squall, Eiko's not gonna know you're looking to check on her. As it is, she just skips past, with barely a look in Squall's direction.]

[Eiko giggles at the show, but cuts it off quick - she's a mature lady, and mature ladies don't giggle. According to Eiko.

She accepts the offer of a handshake, smiling.]
