[Zuko really can't help but scowl as they're deposited in the snowy fields. He glares out at the surroundings, nothing but snow snow snow and more snow, maybe some pines bunched together along a perimeter, and in the distance lay some mountains.]
...Just wonderful. [He mutters to himself, hiking up his backpack onto his shoulders, and concentrates his firebending to help in keeping his body heated against the chill of the snowfield.
He throws a look over at Sokka and Gwendolyn; damn that Sokka and being born a member of the Water Tribe, always surrounded by snow and frigid weather conditions.]
[The first thing on Gwendolyn's mind is how cold this area is, and how much colder it would have felt had she not gone on that field trip to a mountain range the previous week. As it is, she wonders if she'll be getting flashbacks to Horn Mountain during the exam.
She takes a look at her two teammates for the following week - she doesn't know them all that well, but the fact that they've also been in Garden for nearly two quarters is a reassuring one.
...Granted, it appears Zuko is following the Shadow Knight Approach to Things (it involves glaring, particularly at stuff that can't glare back), but she's used to dealing with that sort of thing.]
[Keeping his gaze locked on Sokka, Zuko tries not to make a face at him, his tone clearly irritated.] So? Now what do we do, oh mighty Water Tribe warrior who's been living in the snow all his life?
Sorry guys! It took longer than expected to get internet.bendthisNovember 5 2010, 04:31:56 UTC
[Now this is more like it! Snow is easy. Sokka hitches his own bag a little more comfortably on his shoulders and looks at the other two. He doesn't know Gwendolyn more than seeing her around but hey, just look at Katara. Just because they're tiny doesn't mean they're not scrappy. Now Zuko...
Yeah. Zuko's gonna be a pain all week long. Sokka gets that feeling.] Thank you for acknowledging my superior skill set, Zuko. Staying toasty? [Dry, but not untrue. Sokka glance at Gwen and raises a shoulder in a shrug.] I grew up in the snow. And the first thing we should do is find a place, out of the wind, to set up camp.
