Yay, thank you! That's one of the few decent pics I've ever gotten of the poof. He always runs away whenever he sees the camera, so I tricked him by using my phone. ;)
Thanks so much! Finding the buttons was hard -- the first fabric store didn't have any toggle buttons in silver, and the second was a hell of a drive away. Those were the only ones they had in silver, but I think they're too small. Today at my knitting group, I told my friends, and one of them piped up, "Want me to make you some?" Turns out she's a silversmith in her spare time! I said that I'll see how these work out, and I might just give her a call if they turn out to be too small. ;)
I love seeing your knitting projects. :-) But this comment is really about how adorable your cat is. And I'm not even a cat person but his adorableness crosses even that. :-)
Hee! I don't really like animals in general, but Queso is pretty darn cute. Maybe it's those huge, perfectly-round eyes that make him look either surprised or very devious. ;)
The sweater looks great and super comfy. And ahhh, kitty. :)
Thanks for the link about cellphones and Haiti. I've had a bag of old cellphones sitting in my closet for well over a year just waiting for me to remember to bring them to Best Buy. But this is a much better use for them.
Can't wait to read the article on LOM. I didn't watch the US version, mainly b/c I hadn't seen the British one (it's been sitting on my DVD player for over 2 months now, I just need to sit my ass down and watch it) and my favorite movie reviewer went ballistic over the US version. She absolutely loathed it. She'll get a kick out of the article.
I need to dig out my previous phone. Such a great idea!
The US version was actually pretty good -- not great, but good -- until that bizarre and laughable finale. At least the UK original has the yummy John Simm.
