I woke up this morning, packed my tiny suitcase, cuddled my even tinier nephew one last time, then got in my mother's car for the trip to the airport

Aww! If you makes feel any better, I did the exact same thing when I went to college. Except the laptop was "new" (secondhand) and had been delivered to my grandparents house. I couldn't find the power supply in the box and panicked a lot. Got to school and they called and said it was in the box at the bottom, which I had left on their kitchen floor.
Yeah, I know it's a common mistake to make, but it's still making me want to SCREAM. I discovered the problem at DFW, and I actually considered switching to a later flight so that I could take a taxi back to Sis's house and get the cord. At least my fabulous BIL is going to fedex it to me.
The nephew really is quite a mellow baby, but this pic makes me laugh and laugh. ;)
A friend sent me the lonk to the Variety article announcing the '30 Rock' renewal and this is what Reilly was quoted as saying about FNL:
Separately, NBC has not yet made a decision on its other critical sensation, the family drama "Friday Night Lights." Skein just won a Peabody Award, but its future is "trickier," Reilly said.
"It becomes a little tougher in the overall mosaic of the schedule," Reilly said, noting "30 Rock" has found a home as part of NBC's Thursday comedy block, while "FNL" hasn't yet found the right slot.
Still, "It's got a tremendous amount of support internally," Reilly said. "We love the show creatively, and it's got a passionate core audience. All of that is going to work in its favor."
Someone else mentioned that one of the new NBC execs is known as a bottom-line guy who doesn't have much patience for low ratings. I'm trying to keep my hopes up, but FNL is one of those shows where I *think* I'd be happy with one perfect season... though I still want at least one more!
