Time to vent, thanks to the idiots at my optometrist's office. ( Screwing me out of a new prescription. )

Eh. It's easy for Matt Roush to be condescending about spoilers because it doesn't apply to him. He gets to screen episodes weeks before the rest of us. I wouldn't be freaking out over spoilers if I'd gotten the final three eps of the season within hours/days of Maelstrom airing either, you know?

Thanks for reminding me I need to schedule an eye appt next week. :)

Indeed! Being surprised would be nice, but I have to *know*. I just hate how he makes a blanket condemnation based on his own attitudes. Hmph.

And good luck with that eye appointment!

I was just introduced to Jim Gaffigan last night by my sister. We watched his "Beyond the Pale" special, which was *hilarious*. The Hot Pockets ("Dead Pockets!") routine is so funny, but his bit about vegetarians is just as good. And I agree with you about the lack of profanity being strangely refreshing. In a way, I think it made his act stronger by not relying on four-letter words for emphasis.

I'm so psyched about Helvetica, especially because it'll be in my area in May. As it turns out, I'm a complete and utter graphic design geek.

Ooh, you'll have to let me know how Helvetica is -- I've only seen the clips on the official site. :)

Jim Gaffigan is fantastic. I think he's actually on tour. I would really like to be done with college so that I can have fifty bucks to drop on seeing funny people in person for a change!

Alas, I checked his site and was dismayed to learn that he won't be coming to Atlanta. Guess I'll have to make do with the DVDs.

Oh, dear. I can't even imagine what some of those stories would sound like. ;)
