More sickness + a poll

The doctor's verdict? Good ol' influenza. Yesterday was excruciating. Got so bad that I couldn't move at all. I've slept 18 of the past 30 hours, and I'm still tired. I've been eating Dunkin Donuts because that's all I can deal with. Now I don't feel quite so guilty about taking a sick day! Fortunately, the worst seems to be over, knock on ( Read more... )

I checked that I've written RPS, but that's a little misleading. I've only ever written RPS featuring fictional characters interacting with online friends (as you may remember). And then I post it for the friend. I've never written any form of RP smut, or anything featuring a real person I don't know (celebrities, etc.). I suppose it's technically real person fic, but it's not what people usually mean by that.

When it comes to what people usually mean by that, it's really not my thing. With the occasional exception of farcical fics my friends write. :)

If you're worried about the responding to feedback thing, don't be. I'm not offended when authors don't reply, unless they've responded to everyone but me, and then I'm like, what'd I say? But if they don't generally seem to answer, or only answer a few people, or only the first comments, then I don't take it personally.

I had some difficulty with a few of the questions, so I didn't answer in the poll and thought I'd clarify here. None of the answers to the beta question seemed to apply, in that I always use a beta, but not for characterization or plot - those I work out on my own. My main problem is that I sometimes get a little slippy with my tenses, in that I tend to use "he thought" when I'm implying the immediate past - like pretty much right now, and "he had thought" when I mean to imply something that happened awhile ago, so my beta keeps me on track. (And I just did it now, with I'm implying and I mean to imply!) She also suggests a sentence rewrite if the sentence seems to long or run-on to her, or if something isn't clear.

I did write RPS - once. As a rule, I find Spike and Angel much more interesting than JM and DB. (But that doesn't mean I don't read other people's RPF. *g*)

As for the big fandom divide, I write gen, slash or het fairly equally, depending upon the plot bunny or the ficathon I've entered.

Hey there,

I was wondering if you knew of any good Helo/Sharon fanfic writers out there. I've been cruising around ff.net, and haven't found anything worth reading. If you could find someone, that'd be great, otherwise I'll keep searching on my own. :)
