Failing eyesight? Inappropriate sneakers? I'm such an old fogey.

So, how did I spend my day off? Optometrist. Lucky me. My left eye has been blurry and irritated for the past few days, so I finally dragged myself to the optometrist... which is not covered by my insurance. A visit to the regular doctor would've been cheaper, but they couldn't see me until the end of the week. Hmph. The verdict? Medicated ( ( Read more... )

i opted to dvr 24, get the globe results via internet and watch some season 7 of SG1.

I really liked the first two hours of 24, but it has a squick factor for me - not the violence, but rather the political things they are doing, b/c it seems so real.

And to BSG, I would frakking love it if Billy turned out to be one of them... I want to see him bitch slap Dee and Lee for treating him the way they did.

A had a theory a while back that they'd bring back significant or semi-significant characters that were killed off during the course of the series as the final five (Crashdown, Billy, Ellen, etc) as the final five, but that could just be wishful thinking.

BAH. i'm 28, and my students think i'm hella cool for being somewhat of an emo kid AND knowing what's up with rap to an extent. teaching is different from the office world and i figure it keeps you young. when my mom taught high school, in her 50s, that's when she was introduced to music like dashboard confessional. when she taught middle school she would steal my doc martens every now and then. now i've got her into AFI. >) when my brother and i were in high school, we fought between ourselves and our mom for possession of two copies of no doubt's 'tragic kingdom.'

so screw appropriate. better to be wearing chucks than letting your stuff hang out around teenage boys anyway (which is what SOME of my coworkers do). ;-)

Your optometrist should be covered since it's a medical visit. Insurance will make a distinction between a medical reason for visiting and a quest for new glasses.
