Three-day weekend? More time for knitting!

Wow! Those fingerless gloves really were quick and (relatively) easy! I finished the first one tonight. The pattern was apparently designed for smaller hands than mine, but it still turned out quite well. Of course I had to take a photo, plus another of a ball-band dishcloth I made earlier this week. school, bsg - etcetera, knitting

Wow, you made those in like no time. Wasn't it just yesterday you posted about your intention to knit it?

In case you were curious, there are now rumours flying around that BSG will indeed get a fourth season.

See?

Yup, one glove only took two evenings. Not too shabby.

I saw that article, along with a few others claiming that a renewal is unlikely. At this point, I'm not going to believe anything until I see an official SciFi press release.

I had no clue that there were articles saying the opposite.

*sigh... Guess I'm going to have to keep crossing my fingers.

I want boobs like that. Seriously. If I could have any set of boobs, those would be the boobs I'd want.

Hee! They are very, very impressive. Not too big, not too small, but juuuuuust right -- does that make them the Goldilocks of cleavage?

though I *love* the pattern overall, my biggest nitpick is that the edges are too sloppy.

Try knitting a selvedge next time -- always knit the first stitch, always slip purlwise the last stitch. That will square up your edges.

Ooh, that never even occurred to me -- thanks! I'd originally started the washrag with two stockinette stitches at each side, but it didn't look any better.

One question: I'm working with two strands -- one for the main bands, one for the background, and the pattern has me leaving the SC aside while I work with the MC. Pulling the SC up is what leaves the sloppy edge. Should I use the SC for the selvedge?

Very gorgeous. I'm tempted to make some NSFW icons from them. ;)

Thanks! I'm working on the other glove now -- am NOT going to succumb to The Sock Curse of making one then being too bored to do the other!

Sewn bind-off? Hmm. Will have to remember that. For this BO, I just went with the regular old one, but the pattern called for inserting extra stitches every 6st using cable cast-on. I really don't think it was necessary, because the regular BO would've been just fine, and now the edge is too flared. I might stick with the usual for the other glove. I'm not a perfectionist, so I don't mind if the two gloves don't match exactly. ;)
