Spring break, Atlanta, Bristauer, and Kara/Anders.

I'm officially on spring break! No school for a week. I celebrated by coming home and taking a nap. The kids were better than usual today, probably because... I gave them a test. Oooh. So evil! We have vocabulary tests every Friday, anyway, and I figured that if they were already going to be crazy on the day before Spring Break, I might as ( Read more... )

I live in Atlanta and am off for the next 3 days.
I can buy coffee with the best of them.
Since my time at Dragoncon has been limited
lately I've missed out on meeting up with many
LJ friends. If this seems okay to you Email

I'm just pleasantly surprised by how much I'm liking her and Anders right now
It's the end of the world!

Nah, I'm happy to see positive stuff about Kara/Anders and Anders himself :)

I can see that spurring him to side with them because life on New Caprica is so bad,

Also, Anders was saved by 8 and 6, so he's had some prior experience of benevolent cylons. It may not be as hard for him to turn around and support them as it would have been otherwise. I hope we get to see that conversation: "Yes, honey. I know, but they're nice killer robots. Can't we just give them a chance?"

WORD to pretty much everything. I was happy that Anders made Kara so happy. And Anders is a nice, likeable guy. Maybe boring to some, but I prefer that to him being a jerk or something.

I agree that having Anders betray Kara instead of dying would make for a more interesting scenario. I can see the Anders-sides-with-the-Cylon-Overlords angle happening and how that would cause a major conflict in their relationship. I think the reason their relationship worked, to the point of even getting married, is that there was nothing that really challenged their relationship, no big issues to work through. Which is great for them...until they clash over something like this and realize they have completely opposing ideologies. So that could make for a good story.

And then maybe Anders can die later, after Kara's "over him" or whatever, and in a way that gives Kara no reason to blame herself. Cause yeah, we've seen that story already.
