Of 1,001 albums, the ones I've heard

The game is picking which of 1,001 music albums you've heard. The source is 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, which like all attempts at comprehensively indexing the best of the arts, is worthy only of mockery and savaging.

I've got 93 of these titles on LP, cassette, and CD. Apparently, I'm not terribly in sync with the new millenium, since the only thing I've heard off the list that's been released in the past 6 years is Calexico.

A few things keep me from buying much new music. Bootlegging MP3s isn't one of them, since I don't do that. The main reason is probably that since I already have over a thousand albums ranging across pretty nearly all genres and eras that I'm interested in, I don't want any more.

I suspect anybody interested enough in the topic to fill out this list is going to have most of their selections clustered around their college years through late-20s.

I'm still buying new CDs, and I'm not averse to the odd MP3 download (especially if it's something obscure and out-of-print). but my tastes run more towards Exotica these days. Exotica, as you probably know, is a code word that us tiki/lounge hipsters use to obfuscate the fact that we've started digging our parents' music.
