Tony's not so much recognizing her as he is some quality in her, that his expression reminds her of. Though that would be an interesting angle! :)

Waking up to this in my inbox has absolutely MADE MY DAY. I feel like Tony is going to derive great joy in acting like the (slightly embarrassing and overprotective) parent. Proud papa, indeed. (No wonder JARVIS was slightly nervous about bringing his new friend to his attention. :D)
