Oh Harry! You have only just cracked the surface of the crazy.

:) No kidding. The follow-up in Chicago is beyond the scope of this shortfic prompt, but I think I may have fun writing it one day anyway. Perhaps when Trubel leaves Portland, she might find herself passing through; or Kelly on her rambling trip ...

Oh, this is a brilliant crossover. I was skeptical, but you made it work beautifully, and the characters and the voices were spot on (especially harry's, which always seems to be a giant hit or miss thing in fic!)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I always get such interesting prompts during Wishlist season, I have fun trying to make them work.

And I know what you mean about Harry; he in particular has such a strong voice, I tend to get my books off the shelf and do some rereading every time I write him. I'm glad the fic worked for you!

I figured you had reasons for not commenting yet. :)

I know what you mean about 'Our Harry'; books 11-14 got more and more depressing as they went along. Though there were some promising characterization up-ticks in book 15! (Really, really hoping that continues in the next one, but we probably won't be seeing it until 2016 at this rate, alas.)

Renard was a lot of fun to play with in this context. It didn't feel right to have all cards just dumped on the table, so I had to give Harry a way to pick up more information later that felt more or less organic.

I guess I haven't had any excellent fruitcake? But I have had some not-terrible before. It just seemed like a Harry observation to make. (I find myself writing Harry saying a lot of dryly humorous or ridiculous things that I'd never dare put in other characters' mouths; he's definitely one of my favorite POVs to play in.)

Glad you enjoyed the story! Christmas had its high points, and its lows; I expect the same of New Years. But I hope you and yours have had a good holiday
