That's an interesting idea - I'm guessing the man who sold his soul is also Loki. I might as well mention that the sequel to London Calling I'm trying to write may have Illyria meeting Bucky Barnes (together they fight HYDRA) if I can get it to work.

Ooo, that's an interesting idea, too. I look forward to reading it.

Fred with shades of Illyria rather than Illyria with shades of Fred. Definitely an interesting take on the character. I like that Thor hunted her down to inquire about Midgardian courting practices and Fred finding similarities between the current group and her old one was a bittersweet concept.

I think Fred could find happiness in Asgard, well, at least until the Dark Elves make themselves known. ;)

I cudgeled my brains a lot over this prompt, and finally decided to just go with what I had. I'd like to think she'd make a difference in the Dark Elf plotline; but in what direction... that is the question. :)

It's... not from DC comics? Or even from the Marvel comics that the Marvel Cinematic Universe draws from, as far as I'm aware. In the Thor movies, Loki went crazy/evil after finding out that he wasn't actually Odin's son, just a (blue-skinned, red-eyed) Jotun under a glamour, whom Odin had stolen from Jotunheim as a spoil of war and then raised to believe that all Jotuns are monsters. Brilliant move, Odin.

Illyria would have a really interesting time in Asgard, that's for sure. :) She's a fun character to write; writing her blended with Fred was a bit of a challenge, though.
