So many little tiny details that make this work. LOVE that last paragraph.

I'd say more, but my brain at the moment is about on par with Buffy's after Graduation. lol

Glad you enjoyed the story. :)

It was actually the last two paragraphs that I wrote first; then I went back and figured out how to get there...

Glad you enjoyed it. :)

When I got the prompt, my first thought was, "how do I short-circuit the Juliette relationship rollercoaster without making anyone the bad guy, or segueing into the show's drama whiplash?" :) Alas, the majority of the viewing public seems to find soap-opera level plots thrilling.

Love it. love the interaction between Monroe and Buffy and how this story shows that she has everything. Everything that gives her a "normal" live. Friends, lovers who cherish her, a job etc. Happiness no matter what. Normal for Buffy "lol"

This was kind of an OT3 prompt, but I couldn't resist throwing in the Monroe friendship bit; I just like him, and I thought Buffy would, too, plus it was a good way to squeeze in the world-buildy parts that would have driven me crazy otherwise without preaching to the reader. :)

Competent, grown-up, happy Buffy is by far my favorite Buffy to write.
