Gots to Beat the Week

Mar 10, 2009 00:18

LJ says it has been close to a week since I've posted. There is no solid reason for that beyond SGA sucking me in (Guys, I was glued to my laptop for days! I read a 96,000 word fic and kept on going! I must be stopped!) Except, don't stop me because I love it ( Read more... )

The AP likes MCR and Panic and asked me to put my CDs on the family desktop so she could put them on her iPod. Stuff like this happens (I live in fear of her looking up information on them and recognizing the names of the Panic guys from Brendon and the Purple Crayon, which I foolishly allowed her to read.)

AP sounds awesome! My mom doesn't like FOB and the cover on MCR turned her off. She saw me with a binder with half thought out ideas and I almost lost a year of my life from panic that she'd open it and start asking me: who is this Spencer person and why is he in all these stories?

Ahaha, I keep meaning to try the AP on FOB, and I keep forgetting.

She never believes me when I tell her that people online think she's awesome.

I'm finally going to do that meme later today! This week has been crazy stupid....

Now I think of them as Flyboy. Ha!

Haha, my mom likes FOB too! Though she thinks Pete is a sellout and likes to have little rants about it. She also loooves Panic, used to listen to Fever more than I did.

Your mom ranting about Pete is amazing :) I would never try to have my mom listen to Panic, well, maybe a little Pretty.Odd. but not Fever.

So hilarious. We're both excited for this coming week's episode of CSI:NY, cause the Simpson-Wentzs' are supposed to be on.

She loooves Fever. I think her favorite songs were "Lying...", "I Write Sins...", and "Build God...". As fucked up as it may be, her ring tone on my old phone used to be Lying, cause the one available just so happened to be her favorite line, "so testosterone boys and harlequin girls" over and over again. She got a kick out of that.
She likes Pretty.Odd. as well. I remember teaching her the chorus to Nine in the Afternoon at 1 o'clock in the morning, and us just belting it in the kitchen. Good times.

SGAAAAA! \o/

Ahahaha, that's great. I always feel slightly weird when my parents tell me they like my music, even though I like them listening to it at the same time? Spreading the love, man.

SGA has completely sucked me....I know the show is canceled, but even so, there are so many excellent stories in that fandom. They were one of my firsts :)

I'm finally calming down off of it though; so I can focus on more pressing things, like Big Bang. Speaking of which, how is that coming along for you?

Ha! My dad stole my Fall Out Boy CD one time and listened to it on his way to work. He came back home later that night and said he really loved it. And then he stole Folie A Deux from me, and he said it was the best he's ever heard. :P So yeah my mom is really interested in Pete's life, and it pretty much scares me how she has a huge crush on Brendon, although my mom said Fever was inappropriate. My dad heard P.O. and asked me since when I started listening to folk music. Ha. But I guess it's cool my parents are into what I listen to. I mean they are still kind of young.
(lord this is long)

Your dad has excellent taste :) I would only let my mom listen to parts of Pretty.Odd. because she would not approve of Fever. My mom hasn't seen any of the guys (I think). She would probably only just laugh at my ridiculousness about this music.

I completely welcome long comments. Always.
