hm. that was interesting! so ive never read this pairing... and spencer/pete was a little disconcerting, but! yeah, there's a but, Patrick's dilemma was so cute, and a little frustrating for him, and Spencer's nonhelpfullness mirrored Pete's pretty well, which I found amusing :]

I'm just glad you gave it a chance :) I've never read this pairing too and I only did it because I received a prompt and this was the one I could see myself doing.

yay to some amusement, I was going for a tad bit of humor, so I'm glad that worked.

Pete/Spencer is an out there pairing, but I mainly wrote it so their could be a mirror relationship of older/younger.

( I should just call this the rare pair fic :)

Can you tell who you wrote your prompts for?

I mentioned I wrote the Gabe/Patrick one in the post on super_bandom and I edited this post to mention that too, but I'm not sure who the Nate/Patrick prompt is for. Was it requested by the Multitasker too?

LOL I actually like Pete/Spencer, but I've never read Patrick/Nate either.

Eventually Nate started sending him random pictures of landmarks as Cobra toured or little clips of songs he thought Patrick would enjoy. His response to these messages were simplistically distant replies like 'lol' or 'thnx', just enough to be polite but never too invested. Patrick didn't want to appear desperate.

I love that; the way Nate is continuing to persue the 'fling,' and Patrick's attempt to be noncommital--not because he doesn't care, but because he's afraid of being hurt. The resolution was enough to satisfy me, but it left it open ended, which comports with the idea of: He's not certain of everything but he's ready for anything. Well done. :)

Oh thanks! Rare pairs are usually a hard sell, but that's what the person wanted.

Patrick was kind of my fave in this one and I wanted him not to seem like a jerk or anything.

Your liking the ending really makes me smile. I wasn't that sure how I should end it for a while. :)

oh wow it was you! I thought of you just because I know how much you love Patrick :)

Yes there should be more Nate/Patrick in this world :)
