I woke up around 10:30 this morning and it was brilliantYeah, I've taken today off from everything and almost everybody--called various family members, chatted with a friend online--but it's been me, and my house, and dancing around putting away laundry, and later dancing around cooking, and I have needed this. A lot ( Read more... )

*smacks the Doctor upside the head*

I thought he'd stopped making fun of Rory's nose!

It must be so nice to sleep until 10:30. I can't do it anymore! If I get up past 8, I feel guilty. Despite that: still not a morning person.

I usually can't manage past 9 anymore, and today I kept thinking guiltily about ways I could be productive. And then reminding myself NO GUILT. (Never gonna be a morning person.)

But I kept thinking, Rory believes in love, and fears losing Amy. (Or fears not being able to leave their life with the Doctor when the time is right?)

There was that briefest of looks between Rory and the Doctor across the tables when the Doctor was telling Amy about what she had faith in...

Was that supposed to be the same house they were living in when the invitation came?

But does Rory have faith in Amy? I think he does, but not to the depth that Amy has faith in the Doctor. And it was the faith that was the heart of the matter. I think he might still fear Amy will choose the Doctor over him.

Was that supposed to be the same house they were living in when the invitation came?

I'm pretty sure it is? Which isn't helping my poor head untangle timelines...

It's not the same house: in the first episode, the front door was white with a window down the middle. (Though if it's not supposed to be the same place it does beg the question of why exactly the Doctor decided to give them a house when they already had one...)

Huh. I'll have to watch that opening bit again; could the Doctor have...decided to change their front door? (This would not surprise me, actually. "Your door isn't blue enough!")

That is rather intriguing yard decor.....I suppose humans have done worse and odder over the centuries. ;)

PS. Oh yes to the Timey Wimey.

I like Rory more with every episode. Unfortunately, I like Amy a little less...

I did love the line the Doctor said (ish) "it's time we both saw each other as we really are" and I love that it has to mean Amy was in the Doctor's room because, if not, then it wouldn't have cut off the food supply because there'd still be the Doctor. That he has faith in Amy's faith in him. Sort of. Ish. Plotty, wotty.

And I said, "I'm not talking about myself..." a good fifteen seconds before it aired.

I do wonder what happened to the house they started the season in though...

It was really, really telling that it was young!Amelia with whom he had that conversation, and that in the end after he'd said that line (good paraphrase, btw) and they panned back it was adult!Amy again. The mutual faith had to be broken. Sort of breaks my heart.

Ha! yeah, I bet a lot of us were thinking it before the Doctor said it - there was something in the earlier scene where the Doctor met up with the non-Nimon, that again made me think, "Oh, paralleling the Doctor with the Monster of the Week again, are we?"

How many houses do Rory and Amy need anyway, exactly?
