I could never take you seriously as an action hero, James McAvoy, your lips are far too pretty.

*nods* Grown in a vat by fangirls, that one.

I was v meh about this week's, too, which is partly just my own personal Dalek malaise (made worse by them being so intentionally unmenacing in this - WOULD.YOU.CARE.FOR.SOME.TE-EA? is a genius line but dude, no one is ever going to find them scary again). I think it was written as 2 parts and snipped (correctly, cos fuck all happened as it was), hence the odd going-nowhere stuff with the girl. Alterantively it was a ham-fisted attempt to make Amy think about Rory, but if that was the idea then they needed to actually do that.

Hmm, I suspect Pirate Radio may be called 'The Boat That Rocked' here. I didn't watch it due to having been warned about the hi-larious sexism, but then I am still watching Supernatural, so... :)

Oh, man. I suspect they're the same movie as well, and, well, yes, hi-larious sexism just about covers it. It's the whole "This is all groovy and exciting and ROCK'N'ROLL FOREVER...but only if you have man-parts" vibe that was making me deeply uncomfortable, even as I was laughing at stupid bits. At least Bill Nighy was in there, being his usual strange self.

As for the Daleks--BLAH. It doesn't help that Eleven is continuing the utterly manic/mad trend when it comes to them. Okay, yes, all tied up with the destruction of your planet, but after last week's "very old and very kind" bit I was hoping we'd be able to MOVE ON. Hmph.
