There was a time, back in my early teenage years, when I never left the house except to go to school. I didn't want to go out in the world because everyone was looking at meTonight I'm going to a play, by myself, that is sold out, and I'm going to be one out of a couple hundred people there--it's a small theatre--and I'm looking forward to being ( Read more... )

Have a great time!

Also...you've reminded me of my wish for a Tardis shaped like a Bungalow. Not sure why, except the Tardis is a great Road Trip Toy. ;)

The play was awesome. Even without having seen the movie it was based on which I really should since, hey, Bruce Campbell.

The TARDIS is a fabulous road trip toy. I'm sure we can find you a bungalow-shaped one.

Oooh have fun! I'm seeing a vampire musical all by myself today. :P
Zombieland was kind of awesome. I loved the Surprise!guest.

Oooh, what vampire musical? (Evil Dead was hilarious by the way. I'm thinking about seeing it again Halloween night if they still have tickets available.)

The surprise guest was totally awesome. Even his death because, you know, "OMFG they killed Surprise!guest."

Dance of the Vampires, in the original (and admittedly better) German version. :D It was made after the Polanski movie? (I... really can't imagine an Evil Dead musical. I mean the Dance of the Vampires is scary and a little funny, yes, but... Evil Dead???)

I was just lol'ing so hard when they started playing the... theme music. XD And the whole list-making was so in tune with my OCD. If zombies attacked, I'd have a LIST.

I would not have imagined an Evil Dead musical either, but it worked surprisingly effectively. The best song, hands down was the male duet "What the fuck was that."

I loved the list! And I loved how it kept showing up graphically too.

This is totally off-topic, but it's all your fault I've started watching Dead Like Me and now I am addicted. Mason really is eerily like Fitz. Puppydog eyes! Why did I have to discover this show when the fandom is almost dead?

Last time I marathoned DLM I couldn't even call Mason by his proper name, I kept accidentally calling him Fitz. It was terrible.

And, well, that's why we have Yuletide??

Mason does make Fitz look quite clever and well-behaved, though. So far, Mason seems to commit a felony and display epic gullibility once an episode. Change from parking meters is whizzing through tunnels under the sidewalk, there's a huge dust cloud in China stripping the flesh off cows, and if you drilled a hole in your head you'd get really high!

There is quite a backlog of fic, so it's not a fic thing so much as a discussion thing.

This is true. It's like Mason is Fitz's stupid younger brother or something (or I sometimes think what Fitz could have turned into had he not left with the Doctor and Sam...though I don't think Fitz would have been quite such an idiot even then).

Ahhh, understood. Yeah, not having that ability to connect through discussion can get really discouraging. I was never active in DLM fandom, though, so I don't even know where to go to look for the dying embers.
