I spent the first half crying because the show didn't go on, and then I spent the rest of it crying because it did go on, and Oliver, and Charles, and Geoffrey, and it wasn't about them, and--oh, hell. Beautiful, yes.
And, and, and. Just. *flails* And this show, this is why I am now reading Hamlet, goddammit. Sigh.
Although, I have to say, when I heard the words 'broken wang' come out of Geoffrey's mouth, I had to pause the DVD so I could take five minutes to stop laughing too hard to hear everything that came afterwards. XD
Oh, okay. Wow, it didn't really hit mine, and I have a pretty strong embarrassment squick (of the lah-lah-lah-I-can't-hear-you-I-have-my-eyes-closed variety).
I loved Sophie taking the lead, and the whole conspiracy theory byplay. Nate hanging out in the general's uniform was kinda...odd to me.
Yeah, it is quite something. For a smile, go watch the episode in the second season when Geoffrey has a conference with Darren...while Oliver looks on. One of the funniest things in the history of EVER.
I do need to rewatch the second season. So much of it drove me crazy when I watched it--a lot to do with Darren, and with Richard (it's usually Richard hitting many of my squicks)--that I need to give it a second shot after the third season.
I am so OT3 about them (and I just thought of a terrible name: HEPcats), though I can see just about any pairing except Nate/Hardison (does that even exist? I don't think I've seen any.) Also, you're right, Sophie was totally styling Parker for that.
Hardison basically won this episode. I'm actually kinda confused, the set-up was a Sophie-character-ep, like Tap-Out Job was for Eliot, and then it... didn't really go there; I guess can rationalise it due to RLs, but, hmm.
Oh, I just figured it out - Sophie wasn't actually part of the con. Nate usually plays a part, but Sophie was backroom girl all the way and of course that cut down her screentime.
Sorry, babble, just watched episode and am somewhat sleep-deprived and thus thinking with fingers, lucky you. :S

Do not remind me! I think I was sitting there gobsmacked for a while. I probably shouldn't have been. :p

Otherwise, I did LOVE most of it (also, someone watched Enemy of the State one too many times).

I can pretty much say the weeping was all about the show. Gods, what an amazing series.
