I'm not a wacko and I agree -completely- with the critic. It had nothing to do with not "getting it," but that the writers write for shit. The film ran as if they made it up as they went along so that the plot lacked any coherency (and this started in the last film) which might've been all right given it's a movie about pirates except that you -knew- that it wasn't the intention because they were constantly ADDING unnecessary plot and overdeveloping and oh my god.

I mean, it's great that you like it, but I don't think the people who don't are necessarily stupid. C:

(What happened in the extension, anyway? I was too POed when the credits rolled that I left before I saw it. XD)

I didn't mean that people who don't like it are stupid/wackos. I just meant that I didn't understand how the critic guy couldn't follow along with the different plots (and I called him a wacko for that, true). I dunno, maybe my minds just so scatter-brained following scatter-brained plots is easy? ^^'`

On the extension: it was a two-minute bit that took place ten years after the movie ended. It showed Elizabeth and a little boy (around ten ;P) running up to a cliff overlooking the ocean. They zoomed in on Elizabeth's face as a green flash lit up the sky, and then they showed the Flying Dutchman sailing towards the cliff. It ended with a shot of Will up in some rigging looking out at the cliff, this uber dorky/happy smile on his face. Like I said: it was super cheesy, but it was sweet. =)

Probably that, and I think maybe a lot of other people absorbed the dialect better than I did - my dad and I were so confused over what people were -saying- that that didn't help much either. (I remember that from the previous films, but not nearly to that degree.)

I didn't actually mean for that to come out sounding like a snippy retort, by the way, I'm sorry. :C
