I'm.... REPAIRMAN-man-man-man-man!

Yo, did you know All That repeats on TheN channel now? (I think that used to be called Noggin?) I squealed. And i STILL lol'd at it. Proving my generation's shows stand the test of time while the shit being pumped out for youth today is...shit. No wonder nostalgia keeps coming faster and faster when there's nothing of substance around ( Read more... )

childhood memories, phlebotomy, heroes

That's why you've got to do something that makes you look like you went there exclusively for the movie... Which means sitting in the back row in the dark is out, and sitting in the front row, laughing hysterically, and pointing at the screen is in...

And about Nostaligia... I know people always say that when they were younger is better than it is now, and it sounds like they're just being haters, but seriously if I were like around 8-15 now I damn sure hell wouldn't be watching Hannah Montana, and That's so Raven, and High School Musical...

(lord knows how i skip over some replies)

Ugh, amen. I'd say kids have no standards but it's not like they know any better either. HSM seems to be the worst offender somehow. Those "actors" can't sing to save their lives! There's a ton of brilliant musicals out there and this drivel's popularity seems to slap them in the face.

I think that was my biggest problem, the popularity... It's like it snuck up on me and when I finally paid attention I didn't get it... Like if someone hung a paint by number in a gallery and had gawking admirers... But then again there are people who love that Rhianna song "Don't stop the music" so maybe the world is going to hell...

*shudder* Doesn't that song consist completely of the one line sung over and over again to a generic dance beat? WTF, world?

See, I always thought of All That as the generation directly *after* us -- I think I only watched it, like, twice. Was I depriving myself unnecessarily?

Yes, you were. It was on Snick. It first aired in 1994. I was 10 so i'd say i was in its demographic.

Now go watch TheN channel and see what you missed.

Dammit! I was 12 and in my "what, I'm totally mature enough to understand Saturday Night Live" phase by that point. Dumb, dumb child.

I'm going to have to see if I can catch it and fill in this void in my pop-culture life.

You should go watch Horton hears a who in a big coat and sunglasses. Then when someone asks why you're staring at their kids just say you're admiring the shape of their skulls.

The N channel? I think it's called BET hahaha *going to hell*

All that! woohoo!
