I have a pretty good feeling that Kensei won't be around past this year, and won't be the final Kensei if you catch my drift... So anybody doing any kind of Fanfic involving Kensei is jumping the gun...

Jumping the gun is putting it lightly. This fandom has a never-ending supply of crack, but it looks like someone got a tainted batch.

I think Hiro is Kensei... Once he sees how much the current one is a Screwup he's going to have to take over... Get rid of glasses... Grow his hair out... Stuff like that...

I dunno, it seems too cliche. And Kensei was doing fine in his own way before Hiro came to break the past. Previews show him trying to get Kensei back on track, and we know Anders is still hired.
