Not at length. We barely spoke beyond pleasantries. [But that's quite typical for his conversations with others.] Well, it will be something to study for however long John's 'vacation' is.

[Once Raine is secure, he finishes with their belongings and then swings into the saddle.] We'll be moving quickly, considering the distance.

I see... well, it's not as if there aren't more opportunities for discussions at other times.

It'll likely last a week, all things considered. Though I suppose there is no guarantee on that. [She nods once he settles himself.] Understood. I'm ready.

Hold on tight. [He takes hold of Astrid's reins and directs her away from the house, then around to face the road. With a swift kick to the side, they're off.]

[He wasn't kidding when he said they'd move fast. This time she'll try not to carry the conversation until they've slowed to a reasonable pace.]

[Well, it's not quite bat-out-of-hell fast, but it's fast enough to be disconcerting. That's why holding on tight is a good idea -- at least until they're further west of the village and Astrid slows as the forest becomes less familiar.]

[It's several minutes later before they're significantly closer; they can really see the height of those rollercoasters above the treeline.]

I somehow doubt he's the type to take part in these kinds of attractions, one way or another. [Some more riding, and soon enough they're close enough to see the entrance.]

The younger ones have no problem quickly losing themselves in this park. I wonder how many showed any wariness interacting with those? [Since the entrance is now visible, so are the droids guarding it. Albert is pointing at them as they move closer.]

...That's right. It's been awhile since any of us have seen those sentries in action. [Astrid doesn't seem to want to get too close to them, so Albert pats her neck as she comes to a stop.] I guess we're walking the rest of the way.
