[Forty-two is a long way from forty-seven. Especially for a girl who is just on the tail-end of healing up two broken ribs; however, Buffy defiantly walks by. That is, she does until she spots the crutches and pauses. Stopping--a hand still carefully held against her injured side--she inclines her head towards the fellow injured. Why not try a little small-talk? After all, Buffy was intensely curious about others who may have been in the recent battle...and from the looks of it? It might not be too far of a leap to assume this person was.]

I guess it's time to say good-bye to summer, huh? [She calls from the path.]

[Raine lifts her head towards the new voice, and nods in greeting, also taking note that the woman seems injured.]

It's getting close to that time. It doesn't really change too much here, though, all things considered.

[The reciprocated conversation is enough for Buffy. She approaches the porch with a friendly smile.]

You've been here a while, then? You'd have to be, to know that it didn't change much.

This will be the second autumn I've seen; so over a year and a half now.

School opens next Monday? With your sprain, is that advisable?

... Honestly, I said next Monday or the week after, though I don't need to be standing to teach. It depends on what Professor Gelda's thinking as well. Besides, some of you could do with more routine around here.

[Audible sigh is audible. He's also going to be leaving his room and looking around the house to make sure you're not somewhere working.]

Hey, you know I'll attend class no problem. I'm just worried that you might over exert yourself or something. Like you said, we all need to take the time to recover, right?

It's not like I said we'd open it today. [Have fun looking, he won't find her in there.]

[If you can decipher his tiny, messy, and rather slanted due to writing at an angle handwriting...]

Thanks for the other day, Raine.

[She'll squint at that, but there's only one person that could be, really.]

You're welcome, Yamato. Please, don't strain yourself.

Not going anywhere, trust me. Don't think Tai'd let me even if I did.

I doubt he would, but don't worry. No one intends to let him overdo things, either.

... Good.

You're not pushing yourself too hard, are you?

You're not gonna believe it, but no. I'm not. ...At least, I'm trying not to. What about you?

Colette keeping an eye on you then? ... Good.

Honestly, I'm not. [At least, not nearly as much as usual.]

I'd like to start classes again as soon as you're ready, Raine. There will always be one distraction after another, meaning we can't keep putting this off forever.

I know. I was hoping we could try to instill some form of routine in, before it gets taken out of our hands.

Then, next Monday should be fine. We may have to consider getting rid of the cobwebs in our classrooms first, though.

That probably isn't a bad idea. It's been a few months, and the rooms have been mostly unused. Perhaps a general airing out of the building would suffice.
