[Raine's been pretty much hanging out in the river for the past few days or so since Cloud put her in there. It makes sense, considering that the woman got turned into a mermaid. Currently she's hovering at the edge, clinging on to a small plank of wood to keep her from going under (even though she's ... a mermaid, yes),

Alright. [And he's on his way. It'll likely take him a while, since House #12 is pretty much in the north end of the village, but he'll get there soon.]

[She's not really going anywhere anytime soon, so he can take as much time as he likes. She'll just have another mini panic attack in the meanwhile.]

[Takes a fairly decent while, mostly due to his noble self deciding to take a detour and another ... discovery that put him in a temporary state of "DAMMIT", but here he is. Once he spots her, he calls out to get her attention and quickens his pace.]

Cloud was acting strangely the other day... he pretty much just let himself into my house and brought me out here. I think Albert must have been sleeping at the time... he's been prone to taking a lot of naps with the experiment.

Cloud did? [O rite, he was a crazyhead the other day.] ... Anyway, I'm not so sure moving you out of the water completely is a good idea. You can handle a shallow area, right?

[Silly Raine. Either way, he's tall enough that he doesn't have to really swim much or anything when he's close enough to reach Raine, so he's got very little problems there.

... Now it's just to figure out how to move Raine. The water's too deep where she is to carry her out without submerging her entirely, so that's out. Looks like dragging her to shore is the only way.]

Just hang on to me, alright? [And he'll start dragging her to shore whenever she's ready.]

[He doesn't have to ask her twice. She'll just cling to his arm. Hopefully he won't need to use it in getting back.]

[Nope, not at all. He canonly swims with one arm anyway Welp. Dragging in progress. Once he's got her in shallow waters, he waits for her to let go before moving himself to shore.]

[Oh. Was she supposed to let go? It takes her a few moments to realize that's what he wants, so she does so, reluctantly.] ... thank you.

[He figures being all "Right. Later. /leaves" would be pretty crappy of him as a friend. So he'll hang out for a while, just sitting on the shoreline of the river.]
