Explain the difference, because you have piqued my interest, I will admit it.
[he nods for a moment.]
And yes, I am already both of the things you have mentioned. Killing and Murder are what the Astartes do, there is no refining it or avoiding the truth of the matter.
Killing and murder have a reason. Your superior officer orders it, you enjoy the feeling of it, or many other reasons. A monster will kill but not feel a single thing nor do they have a driving reason. It's the same as breathing. You, you strive to have a purpose, which is what sets you apart from us.
I believe Ciel -does- have a reason for what she does. I have seen her revel in battle. And she clearly has her oaths and work which she accepts. Otherwise she would not have saved Mamzel Tohsaka from Gilgamesh.
You may feel nothing, but I suspect there is still something worth salvaging in Ciel.
You're fooling yourself. She may have saved Rin but you have never seen her as I have and you never will. Come back to me if she ever actually kills you and look into her eyes in your last moments. At that moment, you will realize that she is entirely out of your league of understanding.
I am the eternal definition of monster and yet I am not broken. I know of those even worse than me and let me tell you, she's our boss. Pretend I am confined but in doing so, you build your own cage.
[He pauses.]
And I can do nothing for one who will not accept my help.
Leave it, Merem. I owe her for protecting my partner, and I believe in her. If she does not want my kindness or my trust, I'll keep my distance.
[his voice gets very cold.]
But that will be at -her- behest, not yours. She can make her own decisions on who she spends time with.

You confine yourself to the petty parochial thinking of Terra prior to our journeys among the stars.
I can understand a great deal, because I have seen it. I've seen truly broken monsters, and she is not one, not yet, anyway.
