Reading the actual story ... what an interesting enrichment of the original fic -- and so much darker (I fail at guessing games, but reading this post-reveal your fingerprints are, well, yeah).

I should have seen the ending coming when you mentioned how she had killed her mother (and because we've all seen "Amends"), but it totally took me surprise, which is great. It is, as you know, a killer ending (er, pun not actually intentional).
