That's amazing. Little Men was one of my favorite books growing up, and you've captured the style perfectly. I loved the "fished for something much more valuable than trout" line--that's SO LMA.

This really took me back to the world of the books, the warmly prim language, the sweetness, the goodness. It was lovely, lovely and very believable. Yay for Little Men and yay for you!

That was amazingly like a discarded chapter from the book! I'm in awe of how well you captured LMA's style.

The last line just broke my heart.

And later, Demi heads out west after Dan and they live happily ever after... right?
