I adore this. Beyond words. I love the authorial intrusions. It's true that if we stop reading at a certain point she will not be dead. They will not be dead. Such is the brilliant-ness of Joss stopping NFA in mid-action, where the heroes we love are forever frozen in that last stand.

I also meant to say that I love how you make very clear that Lorne is aware of what's coming--for all of them. Maybe not in any very clear way, but still aware. I thought the series did not do a very good job of that.
