Logan-the-woobie-of-fandom -- I still don't really see the attraction but he does make more sense as the layers grow deeper. He always feels to me like he's teetering on the brink of some terrible insanity and grief, that if he lets himself relax for just a moment he'll crash. He's so angry. Logan is a total bitch, and that's why I like him - it's fun to watch him be that person. I think he has the capacity to be a good person, and at times he is, but mostly no, he's not - not that he really has any reason to be 'good'... I totally agree with all your comments. He's very angry, very unpredictable. People woobie-fy him and whitewash all that stuff and it's sad, because that stuff makes him a more interesting character, IMO

I got into VMars after "Weapons of Class Destruction" had aired and um, yeah. I knew that fandom loved Logan crazy amounts, so I really expected that I would too, and kept on waiting for the moment when he would become sympathetic and um, for me it never happened (though I can sort of see where other people's love comes from, and obviously ymmv, etc!)
Duncan and Logan are so weird together! I don't know why I never noticed this before. It's awesome.

Cool. Obviously I do find him sympathetic to a certain extent, but I can see where you're coming from. I kind of feel like they've made his life suck SO MUCH that we're almost forced to feel that way towards him, which is strange.
Re: Duncan and Logan. I wish we had a bit more Duncan/Logan time. Despite the fact that they are supposed BFF's, we really don't know much about their friendship. More flashbacks, please. Flashbacks are pretty. ;)
I love this review. The Veronica/Buffy connection I did not notice before, and I'm a mega Buffy fan! Now it makes perfect sense. I just love the symbolism in that, the innocence lost and rebirthing into a stronger woman. A defining moment for Veronica as it was for Buffy

I think you're right about Duncan+Logan -- it's the whole life things. They're like Willow+Xander in that way -- they just aren't going to throw away that lifelong friendship.
And yeah, I can sort of see where the Logan-love comes from? But I still don't really feel it.
Veronica *is* so manipulative. It's fabulous.
Wallace to me will always be Veronica's best friend -- but that doesn't mean they couldn't be personfriends too. I kind of feel like the Veronica-Jackie animosity at the start of this season was playing up the strength and possible romantic nature of that friendship -- Veronica's mad hate-on for Jackie makes more sense (to me) if she wants Wallace all to herself. And Jackie certainly thinks Wallace loves V too much for them to be just friends.
Then, I like V with just about all the menfolk in her life -- even Logan, to some extent. And with Mac. Or Meg. Or Lilly.
