( Taking It Hard )
I had hoped for something a bit more uplifting (and possibly with an orgasm or seven), but this seems much truer. Of course, it makes perfect sense that Weir would immediately accept Sam's blundering offer. Also, I adore that there is Sam/Janet here, and Janet's version of hanging out is great. And besides, Sam can't not think, all the time.
Aww -- when I was writing it (before I even knew Weir was going to 'Lantis, so this is quite awhile ago!) I was hoping for hawt rawking femslash, but then I got them undressed and it got all awkward and sad. *sigh*. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
thelastgoodname has said it all. Makes a lot more sense this way.
I especially liked the last paragraph and this entence: "And the Stargate, the beautiful betrayer, gateway to the heavens, thief of lovers, friends, lives, stands silent and immobile, iris sealed over her gaping cavern, watched by a few bored airmen."
