Grandma Marquee taught us that about the paper dolls. I was too little, and could never master it, even though she tried to teach me several times.

Interesting; to me the paper dolls are intuitively obvious. Fanfold paper, draw figures with arms extended to folded edges, cut. Or am I misunderstanding the issue?

I'm pretty sure the fan/accordion fold is the way to do it - I would say get the longest piece of paper you can to do so, though. I tried making them for Anna a few years ago, and she was sort of nonplussed with the three and a half I managed to crank out! You just want the "hands" to be the connected part at the folds; you can also draw the "feet" in a similar fashion, should you want more stability.

Dude! You totally should have mentioned her paper doll obsession. She shares this with Lina. Next time I make a whonking big order from Dover, we'll talk about which ones she wants.
