It's been a week since that talk with Omi, and Yotan has settled into something of a routine. He gets up and broods out on the fire escape for a bit, occasionally with a drink. Then he makes himself decent. He offers to pick up lunch for everyone. If it's a better day, he helps out in the shop until the after-school rush passes. If not, he goes to brood again, possibly with one more drink, but he makes a point of helping close the shop so that Aya won't catch him brooding again. In fact, he puts a large amount of effort into keeping Aya from knowing that he's brooding. He also does his best to hide the drinking, even if it's only two a day tops.
So right now, he's helping clean up the shop after closing, and throwing glances at the garage door every few moments so he can be sure he really looks like he's working when Aya comes home.
