recycling in Austin update

Ecology Action at 707 e 9th street and IH-35 now accepts plastics 3,4,5,6,7 in addition to types 1&2!!

So now all your plastics 1-7 can avoid the landfill.

this is a meaty little update, thanks! i honestly found it discouraging just to wonder how much of my recycling bin has been going to the landfill.

i think i'll be joining Ecology Action.

City of Austin at this point only recycles bottle-shaped #1 and #2 plastics, everything else is trash if you put it in the recycle bin. And bottle shaped really limits the types of 1&2 you can recycle quite a bit.
