I've been reading the Hyperion Cantos books by Dan Simmons recently. Well, the first two so far. I thoroughly recommend reading Hyperion and The Fall of Hyperion. It's sci-fi, set far in the future, but it doesn't concentrate on the "science" aspect of sci-fi too much. I really enjoyed the Hyperion and Endymion books, not had much luck with others of his work I've tried...

Yeah, I really love them too. His recent book Ilium was quite good but I'm struggling to get into its sequel Olympos.

I'm still reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Fuck me blind that book is dense.

(Although, as a freethinking motorcycle enthusiast you might dig it)

I need to get another copy of that, my dad bought it for me years ago for my birthday and I managed to lose it. At least I read it first :)
