Here's the thing: shark territory and OUR territory. Why people impose human law on the ocean is just plain rude. The day a shark leaps onto land and starts attacking/harvesting humans for profit is the day I change my mind. Humph.

On the topic of antipodean madness - the same level is evident in other white settler "colonies" such as the US and South Africa. I do think that we share a glint of something - perhaps too much sun and good food?

Oh christ, I heard an interview with that guy (http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_6360000/newsid_6367700/6367785.stm?bw=bb&mp=rm) but at no point did I realise he was SOUTH AUSTRALIAN. I'd assumed he must've been from Queensland or something.
