Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Which *is* rather odd to be seeing, esp. without sound. I suspect they'd have been amused by anything though, really.
Chavs.. Umm.. They like: * wearing really cheap and tacky gold jewelry * wearing cheap rip-offs of highly-branded sportswear * wearing gleamingly white sports shoes * wearing mobile phones as jewelry * getting really drunk on the street, on public transport, in clubs, whatever really. * generally being a bit obnoxious erm actually this list isn't too helpful, but I'm afraid I have to run off now!
Not really.. Bogans are kind of slackers, whereas Chavs are really into their highly-polished white sports shoes, and amazingly tacky huge bits of gold jewelry and branded sportswear clothes. And burberry caps are pretty much mandatory.
I'd say bogans were kind of into their music, mainly grunge, rock, metal, etc.. whereas chavs seem to like R&B and commercial top40 stuff.
Bogans would tend to have clapped-out old fords, holdens, but chavs go for tiny hatchbacks with loads of extra lights and wings and huge stereos.
They don't have much money at all. They are renowned for living off benefits, and their stuff tends to be bought from the bottom-end-of-the-market franchises. It is believed that they think their nasty stuff is actually looking good though.
They tend to be found hanging around council estates, outside supermarkets, in the back seats of public transport that's known to do poor ticket checking,
They like very cheap, nasty fashionwear and tracksuits, small cars with loud exhausts/stereos, and are renowned for living off benefits, getting pregnant before they're barely teenagers, drinking constantly, petty theft and violence, etc.
Thanks. I deleted my comment because I then realised others had asked the same question. The small car thing is really strange. I thought people who were into their appearance were into big, noisy cars? Is the reason they like cheap fashions because they're poor or do they think tacky looking stuff is cool? Are they kind of like the white version of the black American wannabe gangster/ghetto types? Sorry, so many questions! Just trying to think of an Australian comparison.
They have small cars because this is the UK and all the cars are small. Cheap fashions cos they is poor. Designer knockoffs. There isn't an absolute Australian comparison. They make bogans look really nice by comparison.
