Interesting, but is the money really in ringtones?

Ringtones bring in billions of dollars, and for every new phone you have to write a ringtone downloader, manager, player and billing system.

Sooner or later people will realise that ringtones can be had for free if the phone can play mp3s (and mp3s can be had for free if you own CDs. And they'll be of music that you both like and own).

Yeah. And somehow I don't see the ringtone-obsessed teenage crowd going for a hard-to-use Linux-o-phone.
