I would presume so. Unless the camera conveniently fails to have had a tape in it recording or something.

I will try and find out who operates that camera, and request them to send me the tape containing "me and my bike" at around 1:15-2:00pm on Saturday 28th. DPA grants me that right, although it'll probably cost me a tenner.

I'm also quite pissed off that I stopped a gaggle of Community Support Officers, to try and report the crime, and they wouldn't take it - and when I asked for the Islington police station number, they told me to go into a shop and ask! Double fuming!

I would assume CCTV recording happens remotely rather than in the camera itself. They could never catch up with swapping tapes otherwise. It is obviously possible that the feed wasn't recorded.

*blinks*
Exactly what are the community support officers there for?

It's about time they reintroduce the stocks for "petty crimes" like this.
Bastards.
Hope there's reasonable CCTV footage.

What did the Royal Mail do?

The Royal Mail simply lost a letter of mine.. containing a cheque for 100 quid. I was posting it to my bank to deposit it.

I should be able to get the person who wrote the cheque to write me another one, I guess. Minus fee for cancelling the other one. I was putting off doing that in the hope the letter would turn up, but it's been weeks and I don't think it will now.

Update: Do Smile read my LJ??

I just thought "I'll check again today", and there's a message for me in the online banking to say Sorry it went missing, and a deposit of 100 quid into my savings account.

Hurrah for nice banks :D

Pedal bike. However the *other* bike has now broken down, and I had to push it all the way from Highbury corner! Not Fucking Happy at ALL now :(
