Hey! We just read a very interesting poem today. It is entitled "Metaphors" by Sylvia Plath. The poem is very short and very easy to read since it uses common words. What baffled me, at first, was what it was trying to say. The poem is made up of riddles and when you solve the riddles, you will get the meaning. I find it really interesting and witty when the poet uses the number nine to symbolize pregnancy. It's unique to see the poem being made up of riddles with 9 syllables, and 9 lines. It really is a very interesting read.:)
