A new taste and an icon

It's always nice to begin my day with a long chat with N. :) But my day actually began before that when I inexplicably woke up at 4 a.m to the gentle patter of rain and couldn't go back to sleep....and then I discovered that my cable modem was dead. Resignation set in, so I left it disconnected and a couple hours later - oh, looky - it's working

I have too many bloody interests, that's my problem (how to represent them all? how?). This icon addiction is getting waaaaay out of hand. ;)

Bahahahah you are so plucky and adventurous! What you describe was definitely a red bean ice :D I love the fact that you can get them in Maryland as well as Hong Kong, Beijing, Malaysia, Korea and Indonesia.

Also that sounds like a lovely start to the day. I keep getting woken up by Allied Pickford about my relocation :)

I picked a good night to experiment because it was nearly deserted in there, and usually this place is packed. I asked the server for advice on whether I should have ice cream or not, and I'm glad I went with it because it was soooo delicious. I'm definitely going to order it again. I always wonder how the first of ___ came about. Who invented the first red bean ice? I mean, why would you think that would make a tasty beverage? But someone obviously thought of it and we get to enjoy it now.

I'm really, really lucky that I live in an area, both in terms of my neighborhood and also the D.C. area, that has such a wide variety of ethnic cuisines. Perfect for a foodie like me! :D
